History:
The oldest of races, dragons can live for thousands of years. Dragons were the ones who originally entombed Gaelin in the altar. The nine old masters combined their magic to do so, and were unable to reverse the endless night and rain that shadowed Rayne. The people of the town, instead of being grateful, were angered that the dragons could not reverse all the dark magic of Gaelin. The dragons, a proud race, vowed to never help the ungrateful humans ever again and disappeared. Now all that is left of the magic reptiles are twelve, eleven younger, less powerful dragons and the last of the dragon lords. Her name is Dryrah, and she is the most powerful being on the planet. But few remember or acknowledge the existence of dragons; though they may be the last chance the world has to defeat the evil Gaelin.
Powers:
Dragon’s souls cannot be stolen, nor their bodies reanimated. When a dragon dies, the other dragons carry out a complicated ceremony to honor the dead, culminating in the cremation of the body. Dragons can use magic; the older the dragon, the more powerful the magic. They can breathe fire, and their bite is poisonous if you survive the initial bite. Dragons, being reptilian, continue to grow throughout their lives, meaning that the older the dragon is, the larger it will be. Dragons heal quickly, though injuring them is hard, because their scales are as hard as diamonds.
Age 1000 – Transformation into an anthrozil. At this age, a dragon can take on the form of a human, though they continue to have golden dragon eyes. In human form, they can still use magic, though they cannot breathe fire, and they retain their strength and durability. Dragons cannot stay in anthrozil form for more than a day, however, for it does use up magic.
Age 800 –Shrinking. At this age, a dragon can change size at will, shrinking to the size of a large dog. However, their size cannot exceed their true form.
Age 600 – Sustained fire stream. At this age, a dragon can sustain a continuous blast of fire lasting for up to an hour.
Age 400 – Wind blast. At this age, a dragon can hover in place and beat its wings hard enough to create a small whirlwind. This is highly useful for deterring large groups of attackers.
Age 200 - Sonic roar – At this age a dragon can roar loud enough to deafen the listeners (except other dragons) for twenty minutes.
